The Therapy Experience
Step 1 – The Healing Oils
Each Abhyangam begins with oils prepared from time-honoured Ayurvedic herbs, chosen after understanding your dosha and present imbalance. The oil is warmed and applied from head to toe in synchronised strokes that activate circulation, nourish tissues, and quiet the nervous system. It feels like warmth meeting awareness – a silence that heals.
Step 2 – The Potli Therapy
As the body softens, small linen bundles filled with freshly prepared herbs (potlis) are gently pressed over the skin. The warmth and aroma of these potlis release deep-seated fatigue, reduce stiffness, and awaken the body’s own healing intelligence. This stage bridges physical therapy and emotional release – the moment when tension finally lets go.
Step 3 – The Herbal Steam Bath (Swedana)
To complete the process, a mild herbal steam bath opens the pores and carries the therapeutic oils deep into the tissues. The steam helps expel toxins, clears heaviness, and leaves the mind astonishingly calm. You emerge lighter, radiant, and deeply rested – the way your body was always meant to feel.

FAQ
Q1. Can Ayurveda really help with depression and stress?
Yes. Ayurveda has helped people for thousands of years by restoring balance between mind, body, and emotions. I don’t just treat symptoms — I work with your constitution to address the root imbalance causing stress.
Q2. Is it safe to combine Ayurveda with modern medicines?
Absolutely. Ayurveda can safely work alongside your current treatment. I always consider your medical history before recommending herbs or therapies, so that your care remains safe and supportive.
Q3. How soon will I feel better?
Many patients report feeling calmer and lighter within days of beginning therapies like Shirodhara or Abhyanga. For deeper healing, steady care over weeks brings lasting results. Ayurveda works gently, but its effects are strong and enduring.
Q4. Will I have to take medicines for a long time?
Not necessarily. My focus is not to keep you dependent on medicines but to restore your natural balance. Herbs may be prescribed for support, but diet, lifestyle, and therapies often create the biggest shift.
Q5. Is Ayurveda only for mild stress, or can it help in severe cases too?
Ayurveda can support both mild and chronic conditions. In severe cases, I may also advise combining Ayurveda with modern care for best results. The goal is your safety, stability, and recovery.
Q6. What makes your approach different, Dr. Ajayita?
Every patient I see is unique. I listen to your story with care, study your constitution, and then design a plan only for you. Patients often tell me they feel heard and understood for the first time. That is where true healing begins.
