वातो हि सर्वशरीरे व्यानः संचारते सदैव। संसृष्टः श्लेष्मणा स्नायुमांसास्थिसन्धिषु पीडां करोति॥
च्.चि – २८/३७.
Vata moves through the entire body.
When aggravated and combined with Kapha it settles in muscles, bones and joints, causing pain and stiffness.
Why Joints Rebel – Understanding the Cause
Unlike digestive or skin concerns, joint disorders often start quietly:
- Years of sitting weaken muscles.
- Tiny injuries heal poorly.
- Age dries the lubricating fluids of the joints.
Ayurveda calls this Vāta vyādhi – when the dry, moving element (vāta dosha) increases, it lodges in bones, muscles, and ligaments, creating stiffness, cracking, and pain.

FAQ
Q1. What kinds of joint or back problems do you treat?
I see people with knee pain, frozen shoulder, lower-back pain, early arthritis, sciatica, muscular strain and other non-emergency musculoskeletal concerns. If an X-ray or specialist referral is needed, I guide you through that too.
Q2. Is Ayurvedic treatment safe if I’m on modern pain medication?
Yes. I review every prescription you take so herbs and therapies work alongside them without interaction.
Q3. Will I need Panchakarma?
Not always. Some patients benefit from therapies like Kati Basti or Janu Basti, but many improve with herbal support, diet and gentle movement alone.
Q4. How soon can I expect relief?
Many people feel easier movement and less stiffness within a few sessions. Deep strengthening and tissue repair take longer and vary by individual.
Q5. Do you treat seniors or people with chronic conditions like diabetes or hypertension?
Absolutely. Plans are tailored to age, lifestyle and medical history so they remain safe and effective.
Q6. Can I continue physiotherapy or gym exercise?
Yes – and I often recommend it. I provide guidance on stretches and yoga that complement Ayurveda and your physiotherapist’s plan.
Q7. What if my scans show cartilage loss or osteoarthritis?
While Ayurveda does not “regrow” cartilage, therapies calm inflammation, nourish joints and improve flexibility, helping you stay active and comfortable.
Q8. How do I maintain results once I’m better?
I give you a simple home routine: warm oil massage, balanced meals, seasonal lifestyle tips and joint-friendly movement to keep Vata calm.
Q9. Are the medicated oils and herbs safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. All oils are prepared to AYUSH standards and I patch-test when needed to avoid irritation.
Q10. Is the consultation private and confidential?
Completely. Your records are secure and I handle all discussions personally.
